Descriptions

YAMF - Yet Another Mi Freeform is an app that lets you run any other app in a freeform or floating window. This is super handy if you want to use two apps at the same time, like browsing Facebook while watching Instagram videos. And also this app is more stable than Mi-Freeform

Floating Window for AOSP Roms

Floating Window AOSP 2.0

Floating Window Flyme Edition for AOSP

Needed Apps

Now, this is where it gets a little technical. To use YAMF, you need to have either Shizuku or LSPosed set up. Shizuku has two modes: Root and rootless. With Root mode, you open the Shizuku app, grant root permission, and you're good to go. With rootless mode, you need to turn on USB Debugging on your phone, enable the developer options, and install ADB drivers on your PC if you haven't already. Then, you open CMD and type in a specific command adb shell sh /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/moe.shizuku.privileged.api/start.sh

If you're using LSPosed, you need root privileges and you have to install the LSPosed software. Once that's done, you open LSPosed, select the Mi-FreeForm module, enable it, and restart your device

After you've got Shizuku or LSPosed set up, you can open the YAMF app, grant the necessary permissions, and enable the floating button. Then, you can add the apps you want to open in freeform, and you're good to go!
